Flight experience that is usual and common amongst us?

Hi ,

I have started to feel like I should try to write the blogs with different view points and not following the same pattern with the same contents of who is involved and what we did and what we saw and what time the events took place.

Instead write about an experience and see if people from around the world do feel the same as I do.

This blog is dedicated to one of such event and experiences.

Well, yes ! Expect this write up to be a short one and will have a question at last which is for readers to comment :)

It all started when I was flying to Malaysia and it was 12:05 AM at night. It was my first flying experience and I had no one with me to guide me and talk to me. When things are happening the first time it is in human nature to be overly cautious of all the things happening around. So was I!

I was bid a Bye from my mom, dad and my close friend from outside the Airport. (I had known that they cannot enter the airport even if they are my parents still I had asked them to accompany me till airport just for the sake of it) Also I stay in Bengaluru (Back then it was Bangalore and Bangalore International Airport- BIAL ; now it is Bengaluru and Kempegowda International Airport- KIAL.) So there is a place where visitors can say bye from outside and the travellers move into the airport after the first check from the Army at the entrance.

Curious as I was, I asked the army personnel - will you allow my parents to enter with me till I get my boarding ticket? He with a pleasant - sarcastic smile said there are others behind you too please move. I felt I should irritate him more but remembered one statement from my senior that in Airport never behave rude or irritate anyone. Try to maintain a low profile to face no difficulties.

So I stopped at that and handed over my passport and my tickets to him and patiently waited till he said thanks.

I turn back and I really saw what he meant, there was a queue of around 8-9 people behind me and I was thinking did all of them enter with me and get down from the taxis at the same time as me or were they waiting for someone to start entering and they all followed? I was clueless but as I gazed through the double glass doors , I saw my friend holding both his hands up and waving to me. I wish I could do that too. But I waved back to him with one hand and saw my mom waving with a smile on her face. I was travelling for a month and she was happy to see her son fly and say a bye in airport. My dad as usual was seeing my mom and looking at the taxi to get back home.

I proceeded to ticket counter where I was asked to keep my luggage and they weighed it and then gave me a boarding ticket and asked me to head to flight terminal.

I went in and saw that my flight was scheduled to departure at 12:05 AM. So I was talking to my mom and my friend who had come to ask if they reached home and where they were.

I entered the flight and the attendant welcomed each person with a same smile. Greeted each person with same sentence too! I in-fact deliberately slowed down a bit to listen to what they say to the next passenger behind me and it was the exact same sentence!

I was sitting in a window seat and as the flight took off I was excited to see how our Garden city looked from skies above! And yes it looked awesome! With lights and darkness. I was thinking this must be the place where I stay and wanted to see if I can figure out the place - by finding some thing that is unique to our area or may be something close by but I could not!

Just after the flight took to a certain height , I hear a faint sound as if some small alarm is off. The light on the seat belt sign went off and I saw people getting up. I was a little cautious and I was observing how people touch the light and that I need to go out and more.

I took got up and the passenger next to me was very kind enough to get up even before I asked him. Lesson learnt - I too will do this next time if I am in the aisle or the corner seat is what I thought. But now that I had got up I had to go to some point!! I was really wondering where to !

I just moved around and found that I can use the restroom as it was green and no one was using it.! I went in and I was amazed at the size and how cleanly everything needed is perfectly arranged and made available in such small place. Even a baby holder ! Wow ! I felt this is innovation at its best!

***Now to the QUESTIONABLE experience:
I came out and I see a flight attendant waving to me and I hear an announcement, Please fasten your seatbelts, we are currently experience some turbulence so please avoid moving and going to lavatories.

I was very tensed and rushed back to the seat. Put back my seat belt !

I saw that the seat belt sign remained on while the attendants moved freely and I also saw that they started to come with a trolley filled with DINNER ! I was like ? Really we are asked not to move around while they are serving food? I was a little worried .

This was the point that was stuck in my mind for until every time I observed the same thing happen. The flight takes off, ten minutes the seat belt sign is off and then it is switched on with announcement: Please fasten your seatbelts, we are currently experience some turbulence so please avoid moving and going to lavatories. And the food is served by the attendants.

And after the food is served and the garbage collected, the lights go off for next ten minutes and then it is switched on again.

All this when the flight was stable as it was earlier. No changes experienced.

I happened to experience Real turbulence once and the flight shook and I felt that we were thrown a bit into air. And I saw no attendants walking around or any food served during those times.

Now my question to all those who have taken flights and experienced this-
Can we think of this as restricting the passenger movement when they want to be serving the food so that we do not disturb them asking them to move the cart a little away or take it to the side?
That we smell the food and have no distractions and feel like ordering something from the attendants?
That they restrict unnecessary movement to -fro to the lavatories and creating more fuss on flight?
OR
OR
Is it really a turbulence that is happening and the flight attendants care least about their own safety and serve us so that we are happy?

If there is anything that needs my question update, or you guys want to add in, please feel free to do so in the comments section!

Thank you so much in advance for reading and commenting too if you do !

Our Pre-Wedding photoshoot experience

Hi ,

A person who has not written for long time is writing this blog(do I qualify as blogger when I dont write for so long ;) ) to express happiness and also to help others who are searching for those who are NEW to the field of Pre Wed or for the entire field of Photos and Videos(personally I have had no previous experience of facing a camera for explained sequences)

INTRODUCTORY NOTE:
This blog would be a little different than my other write ups! A caution here this! BTW Comments are welcome!

A TRIBUTE

To all the first timers and Short film actors who have made films being noobies!
I salute you folks !

CHARACTERS
As always I write the name of the folks involved in this blog so that it would be easy for me to address and easy for readers who read :)

Niranjan- DOP. Passionate and Talent mixture!( Niru)
Shruthi - Wife of Niranjan and Photo stills expert.
Prithish - Talented photographer who has sat on HOT rocks to get the shots( Read on to find out more :P )
Chai - Uffh ! Me ! First timer and noobie!
Madhuri - My Fiancee then Wifey now and my driving factor to pose for photos (Madhu)
Manooj- We all know him from my previous posts, close friend who helped me get introduced to OutOfOffice Folks!( He Got dropped during our photo shoot travel and is still scolding me for dropping him :D so this is a special mention to him!)

PROLOGUE-

Well is this required?

I dont write this usually!

But yes this is an episode in itself and I have to make special mention to this to way we met and for the way I troubled Niru for almost 15 days!

This topic started as I first stumbled upon Srini's( My college friend) Pre Wed shoot and asked him if he did it or was it a just shoot sequence. And he explained me that we become actors and act for the sequence and it will be a enthralling experience. Why are you so interested and Nevin said he is planning to get it done and I was like yeah. I am planning for it. And Srini showed me his video and gave me the link to the song he shot. I was happy to see it and felt may be I can do it too.

Then My hunt for the right person started! I admit guys! I have spoken to many folks and I have explained my sequences I want in our video and each person I met had the patience to listen to the entire explanation and at last they would all say good thinking and story.

But to my dismay a video shoot in Coffee day has been stopped and each of them used to explain me the reason for stopping it and would tell me to not have that in the video.

Did I tell you all that I met Madhu in Coffee day for the first time and I wanted my first long video to have a Coffee day sequence in it and I was a little persuasive in explaining each of them that I need this sequence.

I came across OutOfOffice guys on Facebook and I called up Niru and explained him the requirement and to my amazement he agreed and said a shoot in Coffee day is going to be there in your Video. That is my promise to you! I was happy. At the same time, confused if we would have it really. He reassured me each time I called him asking for details like the places we visit, dress to wear , props he would bring and the props we should bring(list can go on but I leave at this) But we have called each other so many times and each time I made sure I told him the requirement and he was very patient in listening to me each time!

I give special thanks to Madhu because she was patiently waiting to know if my thoughts are getting conveyed to the DOP's I was talking to and would some times say lets calm down and leave it to them to make the sequences. If its difficult. I had not told her that I was taking time to tell the story of the sequences we wanted. And Niru has agreed to make it.

All decided about the sequence and props we zeroed in that we will make a video and photos - Pre Wedding photo/video shoot thus came to Existence!

FRAMING
(location details would not be divulged 😍🤣 )
The D Day had arrived and we had pre-decided to leave at 6 and we all met at 6 AM and started the travel. Within half an hour we reached our first photo scene. And thanks Niru, it was a beautiful location. And it took no time for each one their to know that I am bad at posing and that I have no idea about what looks good and what does not.

Each time I was told to come from behind Madhu I used to sit and wait for instructions as though I was a seasoned actor and I need no takes :D When I did what was told it was a disaster! Well Madhu kind of picked up the skill I felt (may be girls and photos go better than guys and photos - My mind was telling me - so cheer up buddy :P )

Special thanks to Prithish and Shruti to have taken care of the photo poses required and pre-deciding them and showing it to us and thanks to me for making them take - retake the same picture a million times to get that Perfect Pose! And all this while Niru would be thinking what next pose would suit to the location around us. And Madhu was making the poses better than me!

After an hour and half or so we decided to move to the next location for different set of photos and sequences although the place we were in was tempting to stay to shoot more pics and vids!

We decided we will have breakfast enroute and we touch the highway of Hassan and we were stopped just before the Lane merge ! We see two police men waving at us as though they were giving us Best of luck for the next set of photos. But then we hear few Bus and cargo folks telling us that it will take some time as some minister is coming and we will need to wait till they pass the route. We were five people and hungry and now a minister is making us wait. Hmmmm. We were talking about what we do on weekdays and where we work and how we make ourselves happy during weekends by going on trips and how Niru's himalayan trip photos were cool and stuff. As we were talking we see a Convoy of cars and Niru also happened to see our CM - Siddaramaiah (2018 Elections due May 12 :D ). And the convoy passes and after five minutes we were left to zoom into the Hassan highway. We stop at a known restaurant for breakfast. South Indians love Idly's - Vadas- Dosas and that was our menu for Breakfast too.

As we finish our Breakfast I told them that I dont drink too much coffee or tea so I am okay to not sip that! And they were smiling at me. As usual I take sip from Madhu's cup :P

We shoot a small sequence at coffee shop! Thank Niranjan for helping us get it!

We arrive at the next location and again the same story repeats - me spoiling the photos and Niru searching for location for the sequences and Prithish and Shruti arranging us to the photos and Madhu performing better than me !

Then we again decide to move to the next location and enroute Lunch.

We finish our lunch (special request to Prithish - Bro eat a little more than what you eat now :P  I know he will say I cant!)and head to the next location and time is around 2:30 in afternoon. Can we expect Mercy from SUN God at this time ? Hmmmm. Nope! Sun was at its brightest and hottest! I see Prithish jumping and running and I realize that bare foot on Stone that is hot at 3:00 is too much to stand. But I saw him sit on those hot stone and rock to get the best shot possible! Thanks Prithish !

Also now a special thanks to Niru and Shruti to have explained the sequences this time by enacting themselves to show us and I was able to grasp much faster!

(Have I showered too many Thanks? Well all 3+1 people deserve my appreciation)

We were happy to have found a good place and hence we had not paid much attention to time and were engrossed in the photo scenes that we realised that it was 4:15 and we have to reach the next spot too. So we hurried and zoomed to the next location.

We reach the next location and we see so many people there doing the same what we were there for! That is when we realised how popular it has become to get a prewed shoot nowadays. We have the memories from this place and it is all wonderfully captured. By the time we complete our photo shots and videos it was very dark and we decided to wrap up for the day.

Travel back was good with a Dinner at the Kamat! We reached pretty late!

The next week we decided to meet again and it was a good day with slight clouds to start with and it became sunny as the day passed. The photos that we shot that day have been used in our invites and it was a good experience we had.

For me it was like I am happy because I may not need to pose for camera.! Happy for Madhu because we have our photos shoots completed and happy for Niru, Shruti and Prithish because they have extracted all they wanted from us in form of wonderful memories captured in photos and videos!

EPILOGUE-
The pre wedding shoot and video is done and we are happy with the pictures we have with us and have zoomed in and out a million times on each photo!

Now thanks to you for having read the experience of ours. Hope you would prepare better and practice a little before doing the shoot. Also special instruction to guys who are reading this, please get prepared by taking Selfies :P That helps! Girls do that and they are way better at posing and they know the real pose that gives the best in photos :D

I have not explained the way we took our photos and videos because I want you to visit our FB page and watch them yourself :D Instead of me explaining it. - A picture is worth 1000 words ;)
